Using Cute FTP to transfer your web page.
You can download CuteFTP from http://www.cuteftp.com
To use the program Cute ftp just follow these steps
- Connect to High Forest Net
- Open the cute ftp program
- In the site manager window click on add site
- In the site label window type
the Title Of Your Site
- In the user id window type in your username
- Next, in the password window type in your password
- Then click on the ok button at the bottom
- select the Title Of Your Site from the list,
this is the one we just added and click connect. After CuteFTP
has made a connection a small window will appear with some information, click
ok on the bottom of this window. On the right side of the
screen is our server, and on the left side of the screen is your computer,
simply double click on any file on the left you want to upload to our server,
and double click on any file on the right side that you want to transfer to
your computer. When you upload files for your web site, you will want to put
the files into your www directory on our server.
- Your home page will now be accessable at: http://www.hifo.net/USERNAME/
You will replace USERNAME with the username that you entered above.
